Joseph Andrade is a professional voice over actor with numerous national radio and television credits. He possess a skill that very few have: the ability to voice audio projects in both English and Spanish with a neutral tone, which means no discernible accent.

Joseph has a deep, smooth, powerful, authoritative voice. Also sincere, wise, baritone, and broad range. He does not have just one specialty as he is extremely versatile and can do a conversational, soft sell, kind of like the guy next door, husky, soothing, passionate, masculine etc. Also, if a romantic,sensual or sophisticated type of read is needed, Joseph will deliver the goods. However if you would like an energetic, strong, powerful sell, that is also one of his many attributes.

Another of Joseph's specialties is the dramatic read, such for television or movie trailers.

Joseph is very easy to work with, as he has extensive experience on both sides of the glass. He can be easily coached and directed and will not take up a lot of time during sessions. Mr. Andrade's extensive acting experience on stage and on film comes through on his voice over work, and he has portrayed many emotions, to get the best possible result.

One of Joseph's proudest accomplishments is to have won numerous Advertising Federation Addy Awards as both talent and producer in English and Spanish.

Education

Mr. Andrade's father was a radio pioneer in the United States, as he was one of the first Spanish broadcasters in the country, and was an accomplished voice over talent in his own right. Due to this invaluable experience, Joseph learned at an early age about copy interpretation, proper inflection, stance, breathing, delivery etc. He implements these skills at every recording session. He attended the University of Albuquerque's excellent Communications program, and has participated in many, many speech, and voice over workshops and classes. Joseph is a firm believer in training and learning as much as possible about this fascinating business.
Experience

Joseph Andrade has been recording radio and TV commercials since he was a toddler! His favorite toys were not GI Joe's, or Hot Wheels, but his father's microphone and a reel to reel recorder. You can say Joseph was raised part time in a recording studio. He was on the air at the age of 13 doing a radio show, and progressed in the business all the way to general management. Joseph has recorded literally thousands of commercials in English and Spanish, and has numerous national credits in both radio and television. He has voiced documentaries for PBS, and a partial list of his clients includes: the City of Santa Fe, the City of Miami, Continental Airlines, the New Mexico Lottery, Public Service Company of New Mexico, Isleta Casino and Resort, D.R. Horton Homes, the New Mexico History Museum, and many others in both languages. The documentary he voiced for PBS on the ancient Catholic churches in northern New Mexico, was featured on PBS nationally several evenings, and is repeated regionally every Christmas. Joseph has also appeared in approximately 50 stage and radio plays, portraying such varied characters as Iago in Othello, to the Father in Six Characters in Search of an Author. He has also participated in numerous TV and feature films. For example, you know the scene in the movie Speechless where Geena Davis', and Michael Keaton's characters are riding in the back of an old truck listening to the announcer on the radio? That announcer is Joseph Andrade! He has also appeared on camera on TV in Sparks: The Price of Passion, on the big screen in Young Guns, And God Created Woman, and others. Just contact us with a description of your project. We will need to know the finished length, your deadline, your audience and voice-over direction.

Direction includes the type of tone you want. It's helpful to have descriptive words such as: soothing, comic, corporate professional, friendly, excited, sultry/not sultry, real person, character, announcer, warm or no emotion. The clearer you can be about what you need for your project, the better the results will be.

Once we establish a rate and we receive your script, Mr. Andrade will record your project and e-mail a high-quality MP3 directly to you. Or if you prefer in WAV, AIFF, or a CD through overnight service.

Our turn around time is often less than 24 hours.

If you are located in Albuquerque or Santa Fe, and would prefer an in-person session, I can travel to your studio.

Please also keep in mind that if you do not have one, we can put a script together, whether it be for one project or a whole campaign. In English and Spanish. If you are interested in tapping into the exploding Spanish market, we have translation services from English to Spanish, and vice versa.
